Dans le dernier post il était question du retrait du toit et de réparation du montant B de porte passager
Aujourd’hui on continue avec le “nettoyage” du toit de remplacement avant sa greffe
qui démarre par le retrait des éléments internes de l’ancien toit ouvrant
suivi d’une autre très très longue séance de dépointage (et quelques centaines de points supplémentaires)
La feuille de toit peut alors être séparée de la structure, débarrassée des derniers petits morceaux
La surface interne est nettoyée et passée à l’acide phosphorique (pour la neutralisation de l’oxydation)
elle peut ensuite reprendre sa place sur notre combi
On reparle de la suite du remplacement du toit dans le prochain post …

In the last post, it was question of removal of the roof … and reparation of passenger door B-pillar
Today we continue with the “cleaning” of the replacement roof before its graft
Which starts with the removal of the internal elements of the old sunroof
Followed by another very long session of depointing (and a few hundred extra points)
The roof sheet can then be separated from the structure, cleaned of the last small pieces
The inner surface is cleaned and treated with phosphoric acid (to neutralize the surface rust and oxidation)
It can then return to its place on our combi
We talk again about the replacement of the roof in the next post …
